Food Review 5 : Anand Bhavan

Basil Café ‘Good food is good mood’, the mantra of ‘Flavors of Manipal’   We are back with yet another relishing journey to another local restaurant in Manipal, the prominent Basil Café in  Manipal. Comprising majorly of Italian cuisine, The Basil Café is a lovely place as it is surrounded with greenery all across and warm and welcoming environment. Starting off with the dishes,  we ordered, Tuscany pasta, Canadian cheese soup, Buffalo Chicken with rice, cold coffee, honey chilli potatoes, Hakka Noodles, the rejuvenating drinks - cold coffee and lemon iced tea and last but not the least, the dessert comprised of chocolate biscuit pudding. The Ambience is amazing. There restaurant has relishing food and to accompany, the engaging conversations fills in the place. The favors of the Tuscany pasta were in perfect blend. Food review 2 : Hadiqa

Hadiqa     The tour of Flavors of Manipal has reached Hadiqa, which is located near Tiger Circle, Manipal. A beautiful place with some fun filled music, lovely vibes and perfect food. Diving in to the dishes ordered, they were, chicken Caesar salad, veg biriyani, Penne Arabita pasta, the famous Pocco pizza(in le mak sauce), Khao suey, refreshing accompaniments, cold coffee and Nutella shake. Starting off with the chicken Caesar salad, is filling, loaded with veggies, tossed in light and minimal flavors. The veg biriyani is yet another lip smacking delicacy with all the wonderful flavors and spices in perfect blend. Penne Arabiata pasta is as interesting as it sounds. With distinct flavors of sour and spice, it is a wholesome dish in all. The Pocco pizza was absolutely delicious and could be evenly shared amongst 3 or 4 people.
