‘Good food is good mood’, the mantra of ‘Flavors of Manipal’  

We are back with yet another relishing journey to another local restaurant in Manipal, the prominent Basil Café in  Manipal. Comprising majorly of Italian cuisine, The Basil Café is a lovely place as it is surrounded with greenery all across and warm and welcoming environment. Starting off with the dishes,  we ordered, Tuscany pasta, Canadian cheese soup, Buffalo Chicken with rice, cold coffee, honey chilli potatoes, Hakka Noodles, the rejuvenating drinks - cold coffee and lemon iced tea and last but not the least, the dessert comprised of chocolate biscuit pudding.

The Ambience is amazing. There restaurant has relishing food and to accompany, the engaging conversations fills in the place. The favors of the Tuscany pasta were in perfect blend. The hot and flavorful Canadian cheese soup served to a wonderful appetizer. The buffalo chicken what something that caught our attention at the very first in the menu. Our anticipation was worth it all. The chicken cooked in the signature ‘Buffalo sauce’ was delicious. The refreshing cold coffee and the lemon iced tea were fun accompaniments. The dessert comprised of chocolate biscuit pudding which was delightful in taste. Quantity served was filling and the preparation time taken was also less.

The Basil café is located in Vidyaratna Nagar, Manipal and is easily accessible. It is not quite far from Udupi and the locals wouldn’t have much trouble navigating the place. Thus, ‘Flavors of Manipal’ would rate Basil café, a 4.5 / 5.
